I wrote this song many years ago and I decided to return to it and try to recover it. The lyrics were changed slightly, but only to try to be slightly more hopeful.

The title comes from a book published in 725, which is about calendars and Judgment Day. This song is not about those things but it is about the collapse of capitalism.

Sunken faces, have we met before? Don't make eye contact, down here it means so much. Stuck between unwelcome and not allowed to leave. A benevolent system that only wants to see you bleed.

And our monuments to affluence are surrounded by mouthwash bottles and human shit. Our monuments to affluence are symptoms of a death drive I hope we can resist.

If you listen closely I swear you can hear the hum of a sadness that swells inside and will overcome the sound of bustling business sectors and intersections, where we hide from our decisions and pass judgment from above.
